Hello Branco, Kathy & I wanted to send some pictures of Koni and us. We will send more later with a writeup for you to post on your references page. Thank you for a fantastic dog !!! Alan and Kathy

Branco,
Just wanted you to know that Jack has arrived safe and sound, I brought him home last night from the airport, his first night at his new home was quiet, he is an astounding dog. Excellent temperament as well as being very obedient. He follows my wife around (Michele) all day today, they have already started to bond. He was very tired as you said he would be, but today he seems to be adjusting very well, he did also jump into the swimming pool after me when I took a swim, a big surprise to me and Jack as well.. Not sure he liked it too much.
Branco, he is a beautiful dog, all that you said he was. In a couple of days I am sure he will start to respond to my verbal commands, right now he doesn't like the leash at all, he pulls away when I try to put it on him, but once he is on the leash he is totally obedient. Any pointers to have him come to me when I call him, right now he does not, so I go to him, I am sure once he gets to know me better he will come when called.. Again, thanks Branco, you are a man of your word and I would have no trouble referring others to you for a fine animal such as Jack.!

PERSONAL PROTECTION DOG TOTO - BOXER - SOLD TO TROY USA

Branko, I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to let you know that Toto is doing great. In fact, he is sleeping on the floor next to my desk right now. He does great with kids and other dogs. He loves to play with all kinds of dog toys, especially the ones that let him play tug-of-war. He really likes frisbees and balls, too. He is so well behaved, and I am beginning to work on his commands. He is doing great. Sorry it took me so long to let you know how he's doing. I will send some pictures soon.

Thanks! Troy

I forgot to tell you that our vet absolutely loves Toto, too. He was impressed with Toto the first second he met him, and he always remarks about what a great looking specimen Toto is.

I also forgot to tell you that my sister-in-law is engaged to a K9 police officer her in my town, and he invited Toto and me to one of their training sessions one evening. They actually let Toto do a lot of the same training exercises the K9 dogs did, and all of the officers were very impressed with him and loved him. The officers have either german shepards or belgian mailnois, and the officers didn't think that a boxer could bite as hard as their dogs. They soon learned that Toto has a very strong bite. They remarked at how much they could feel his bite under the bite sleeve and that it was just as hard as the K9 dogs. They also were impressed with how effective Toto re-bites to get a better grip. And then, after biting a bite sleeve for a minute or so, Toto would come running to me and give me kisses while I pet him. The officers couldn't believe that Toto could attack the sleeve so hard and then immediately run to me and show complete affection and even wrestle on the ground with me. He is a remarkable dog. We all love him.

Branko, I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with Scott- he is a wonderful dog, and is everything I had hoped he would be! He is perfect around our two cats, and is very friendly. He has adjusted remarkably fast and is already quite bonded. His training is readily apparent and he has excellent manners. I will certainly recommend your dogs in the future- you truly are a man of your word! I've attached some photos of Scott and I, as well as one with my parents. Best Regards, Rachael Below is an email from my mother, who picked Scott up from the airport initially. She was supposed to keep him for me until I could bring him to California, but has completely fallen in love with him! Please feel free to use any of the email as a reference. He's been a great dog!

My introduction to Scott was at Dulles Airport on October 22, 2009, which happened to be his 2nd birthday. When his crate was taken inside of the customs office, I approached it not knowing for sure what to expect from this beautiful dog. After letting him sniff my hand through the crate door, I opened the door and quickly slipped a collar with an ID tag around his neck. My apprehension of what exactly his personality was, quickly disappeared as he instantly connected to me by welcoming me with his many dog kisses.

I had brought water and a small amount of food with me, since he had been many hours without either and was quite shaky as he came out of the kennel. After walking him, refreshed from the water and a bit of dog food, he settled in for the 3 hour drive home. He was perfect from the moment I met him! I was worried that it took him over 24 hours to finally relieve himself, but realized the lack of food and water was the cause of it.

I found that the 40 foot nylon leash was perfect for letting him explore without having to constantly give him any corrections those first 30 days. He spent the first 3 days and nights sniffing the air- not the ground- taking in all of the new scents around him. He settled in nicely to his kennel and seemed happy to be out of the travel crate. He no longer uses the kennel we purchased and behaves perfectly in the house. He has a "place" in my bedroom with his bed, food and water and another "place" off of the kitchen, where he can keep an eye on what is going on. He absolutely loves our huge yard and runs and plays just like the dogs in your video. I have had him 7 weeks now and am amazed at how well he listens to me. He walks a perfect heel on a leash, on a country road nearby. He loves to ride in our cars and settles in almost immediately, no matter where we go. We leave him in the car and he watches the door to see when we reappear.

I am working on his heel with no leash at this time. He not only loves to fetch and return his oversize tennis ball to me from the first time I threw it, he has discovered our soccer ball and has become quite the expert on soccer! He fetches the soccer ball and actually uses his muzzle and front feet to maneuver and stop the ball. It is quite amazing to watch and he really enjoys getting his exercise this way.

It is winter here, and Scott loves the snow! He runs, and plays and is so excited to be outside in the yard with snow. He also loves to eat the snow as he is running. He discovered a mole or other small rodent in the meadow and was spinning around in place very fast trying to catch it. He is so aware of everything, bear tracks, deer tracks, rodent tracks, owls talking to each other in the evening- he checks everything out constantly.

He seems to love most people so far. I have made a point of introducing him to people of all ages. He had a minor incidence of growling twice- once to an adult female and once to a child. The previous day the child found his bone and picked it up to give it to him and he growled as he took it and walked away. The next day when she petted him to tell him goodbye, he turned his head away from her and barked twice as if to say, "I remember you picked up my bone yesterday!", he did not growl, just barked... I will make sure to have myself and others handle his bone in the future to get him used to this.

Do you have any other suggestions to avoid situations like those above? The woman he growled at entered my bedroom, where he is not used to seeing other people. I was holding his collar and she sat on the bed and started to pet him after talking to him and he growled at her. I gave him a sharp NO! and pulled him away. One hour later she came back to the room, verbally called his name and waited until he wagged his tail before she approached him. This time she let him come to her before petting him. She was in the standing position and he licked her hand and was very friendly.

Scott is such a pleasant, happy dog. He is a joy to have around and I feel so much more confident and safer with him. My husband works out of town and I no longer worry when I hear noises around the house, knowing that Scott will protect me. Thank you so much for sending me my new best friend!

Best Regards,
Peggy

Dear Branko and Family, I am writing to thank you for selecting Anchi for our family.
My wife and I were a little concerned about having a Level 3 German Shepard protection dog around the house with our three young girls. Anchi has maintained a perfect temperment in all situations concerning our children and guests. She has fully acclimated to our lifestyle and is a wonderful addition to our family.
Thank you for all your help and guidance with choosing the perfect dog for our family.

Sincerely,
G&A Family, USA

Sorry it has taken so long to get pictures of Nikita to you. She has been a wonderful dog! We couldn't be more pleased. It took her a couple of months to settle in, but now she is a part of our family. She behaves so well and obeys my daughter and me without fault. She has already done her job as a protection dog, by scaring away a would be robber. To be such a lover with her family she can look and sound so intimidating. Thank you so very much for sending her to us.
Sincerely,
Kelly Horton

Hello Branko, how are you and your family doing? I hope all is well. It's been about 5 months since I got Tili and Tana. I wanted to let you know how happy I am with both dogs. I have been practicing their obedience every day and they are improving. Thanks for two wonderful family protection companions.

I look forward to getting another Cane Corso in the future from you.

ULK - Family and Personal Protection Dog from Mrazovac K9 Hi,

My name is Christine
Carter. I live in the USA. My fiance and I recently purchased a dog that you trained and sold to Terry Roy (USA) a few years back. First, I want to say that Ulk is such an amazing dog. We purchased him from Terry less than a month ago and in that short time we have become so attached to him. My family and I love him dearly! Terry loves Ulk just as much as we do which is why I believe he sold him to us. Terry is moving and the time he is able to spend with him is/was very limited. Terry genuinely felt that Ulk deserved more. He deserved a family! Terry and I remain in touch. I send him photo's of Ulk often. Terry truly loves Ulk so much that the Ulk's happiness meant more to him than that of his own. Believe it or not, Ulk has taught our 6 month old Shepherd Alarik a great deal. Ulk is a fantastic dog! Terry told me that your daughter trained him. She did an amazing job! I cant' possibly convey enough how great he is! I believe that is due to your daughter! She must have an amazing heart because Ulk sure does! I was wondering what exactly the name Ulk means. I've done several searches to find out the origin and meaning of his name but to no avail. If you could enlighten us that would be so fantastic. I wish I knew what his name meant. So many people ask and I just don't have an answer. I appreciate any information that you are able to offer us. Again, I must compliment you on the fantastic job you did training Ulk! We couldn't imagine our life without him! I've attached a recent photo of Ulk for your daughter. Ulk is on the left, my fiance Greg and Alarik on the right.

Thank you always! Christine

AMANDA - FAMILY AND PERSONAL PROTECTION DOG SOLD TO KEN - HOLLAND
Hi Branco, Laszlo and Martina - Just an update.... Amanda is doing well. She is now doing her business regularly and is feeling more comfortable with us. She is playful and relaxed. Tonight she met the cat and was very calm with it. She is starting to bark at the mailman so we know she is starting to see this as her house. She is not crying in her crate but seems very comfortable there now. We are very happy with her. We have not started to work with her yet on the training. I guess it is getting to be close to time for some short sessions. She is not heeling as well as when we got her, but the walks are still very enjoyable. Still no news on if she is pregnant. I guess we will have her back to the vet in a couple of weeks. Hope you all are well and it is not too hot in the days. Thanks for your advice early on. -Ken

Hello Branko,

I hope all is well. Hilary is beyond anything we could have imagined. She is so smart and loving. I'm not sure how we ever got along without her. She travels everywhere with us. She is calm and confident in any environment. I am never concerned that she will make a mistake. As you can see from the picture, she is well loved by our sons, Luke and Cole. They call her their "sister". I just wanted to check in with you and thank you again for such an incredible dog.

Dear Branko,

Sorry that I haven't written you in such a long time. Hana is doing great! She is all we ever hoped for and more!
She is such a calm dog, but she is always alert. She never lets me walk out of her sight and whenever we have a stranger in the house, she keeps an eye them. I also noticed that she doesn't take food from strangers, nor does she beg or eat food that falls on the floor when we eat. She is so well behaved that I take her everywhere! When I go shopping, she patiently waits for me outside the store.
We have two other dogs (a Maltese and a Cocker Spaniel), and she lets them climb all over her and even take away her toys and food. I have never seen a dog do that!

Thank you so much for everything! I can't imagine living without Hana! She is so much joy to have around!
Please feel free to refer any potential customers me!

Best Regards,
Lily

Hello Branko.

Hello, Branco,
Falco is doing well Today we went for a walk and when we came back a yard worker walked up to me and started to talk. Falco did not like this and he gave a warning growl. The man slowly backed away. So, Falco is already doing his job and wants to protect me.
The only hard thing is he does not like his crate! We moved it into our bedroom because he feels safe with us.
How do I teach him to ride in the car?

Your North Carolina Friend,
Julie

Here is our thanks two all of you for a GREAT DOGGIE!!

Hi Branko,

I just wanted to let you know Dzambo made it here safe and sound. He is a very good boy and we are very happy to have him.

I love how gentle he is with my 17 month old daughter. He will stand or lay there so she can pat him and he never moves to till she leaves him. He went to her daycare the other day (to pick her up) and it was great how quiet and friendly he was when with the other children and with other adults around. He is exactly what you promised he would be. I will keep you up to date on him.

Thanks,
Wade.

Dear Branko,

We met Molly at the airport today and she is so beautiful and so well behaved - Thank you a million times for such a wonderful dog. Molly has eaten, met her new canine companions and everyone is so happy together. Molly came out of the sky crate like a real professional and everyone at customs asked many questions about where she came from. Customs was so impressed with such a good dog and I felt honored to tell them I purchased Molly from you. We love Molly so much already and the house feels so comfortable with her in it. Molly has already shown her aggressive side in the most kind manner and the other dogs respect her and love her already. I was even asked to send information to some people from the customs department about you and your kennels as they were most impressed by Molly and her disposition. Molly is so sweet and kind I held her in my arms as we drove from the airport to our home and she feels so much a part of our family already. After her food she had very good urinations and a good bowel movement and appears to be in excellent shape. We intend to let her rest from jet lag and we welcome her to our family with open arms. Thank you again for being honest and good and for all the care you have given Molly. We hope to spend many years together very happily. My husband and I will notify you in advance when we intend to come and visit you. We are looking forward to such a nice facility. Please stay safe, healthy, and happy and another big thank you from your friends,

Leslie and Michael

Branco,

I recieved Cezar on Friday evening. Everything went very well. After a couple days of family bonding and basic obedience we started to do some bite work today. WOW!!! Cezar is FANTASTIC and bites VERY HARD just as you said he would. I hold him on the WATCH command on the short leash so that he talks and gets very excited for a minute and once he is very excited with the aggressive actions of the helper who is waving sticks and yelling etc.... I give him the GET IT command....... HE HITS VERY HARD on the Bite Sleeve with ANY hesitation.... deep bite and pulls down very hard..... he enjoys winning the prey and dragging it back to his spot to kill!!! EXCELLENT WORK BRANCO!!! EXCELLENT TEMPERAMENT and EXCELLENT FAMILY PROTECTION DOG!!! Very quite and very calm. Thanks so much. I will enjoy sending my good friends to you to purchase protection dogs! Thanks again!

A. Daniel

Dear Branko,

Just a note to tell you Thank You!!!!!!!!! Edy is fabulous!
We were really impressed with the fact that he is so affectionate. Immediately he started giving us kisses. Maybe because he was so glad to get out of his crate and off the airplane. He is really beautiful. We love his coloring. He has adjusted very well.
Loves all of us, and Dallas our other shepherd has really taken a liking to him. I was alittle afraid how she would react but she slept right by his crate all night long and this morning we let them out together in the back yard and played ball with them and they loved it. We have a very big back yard and Edy loves being able to run around and not be on a lease. We are getting ready to give him a bath.
Thank You to you and your family for raising such a fabulous dog. We all love him and will give him a good home. Do we need to know any commands for him as far as how he was trained? As per your instructions I know we will not use them for atleast 6 months. Thanks again for such a good and loving dog.

Debbie

ZIDAN
FAMILY AND EXECUTIVE PERSONAL PROTECTION DOG LEVEL 3

SOLD TO NICOLE - USA

Dear Branco- We have had Zidan for almost 7 months now and he is truly a part of our family. We have 3 children ages 2,5, and 8. He is definitely my 2 year old's dog. He can do anything to this dog and the dog stays tolerant and submissive. The dog is well mannered in the house and never rambunctious or wild. No furniture has been chewed and he can be left alone all day with the cats without an incident or an accident. It was a slow transition at first with Zidan. Coming into a home with 3 young children who had never had a large dog like this was A little bit of a challenge at first. I thought we got in over our head at first but Branco kept reassuring me ,"Give him time, give him time, It takes time for the dog to bond with the new family." He was right. As you can see from the pictures Zidan loves the kids! He will be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween along with my 2 year old Charlie.
Zidan is a very obedient dog. He heels well on the leash and looks very serious on his walk. His job is to walk on heel with little distraction. We also practice all the commands during the walk so he knows who is in charge. This gives him a purpose and makes him feel useful and has worked for me in bonding with the dog. Zidan's training shows in every aspect of what he does. It is so nice to have a dog that is obedient! I have owned dogs before and everything was a struggle, walks, housebreaking, chewing, barking, ect. It's so nice to have a dog that listens and obeys. I have no doubt that if we are ever in a threatening situation that Zidan will perform. If and when that happens I will let you know.
Sincerely Nicole

Branko,

We received Zhika a few days ago.  I must say I was pleasantly surprised.  Every dog/shepherd fan that as seen him is VERY impressed.  After a only few days of rest I began working him on the leash lightly and was amazed at his drive and intensity, even after his lengthy travel.  While walking him a lizard ran in the bushes nearby and he lunged towards it.ready for anything.  His training is VERY apparent.  I still have a lot of work to do with him, but as you can see from the photos he has taken to the LA lifestyle very well!!!  He LOVES the water, and HATES the gardener.  I am so proud to have a diligent bodyguard of this caliber.  I will send more photos as we begin more work together.  I tell everyone about the caliber of your dogs.

Sincerely,
Rachel

Branko,

Thank you for sending such a beautiful, well-behaved, very intelligent and most importantly well-trained German Shepherd (Nina). She has been with us for 10 days now and she has become a very important member of the family. It seems like we had Nina for many years. She is still a little home sick, but I guess that is expected. She loves the car and every time I grab my car key, she runs to the door. She is so friendly that no one believes me that she is a protection dog. Most people think that she is a regular dog; however, the signs of a protective dog are there.

As you know, I was so pleased with Nina that I a bought a second dog (Eric, Dogo Argentino) from you. Eric & Nina are very different in many ways, however, they do share the same qualities that a properly trained protection dog should have.

Again Branko, I would like to thank you for sending us such beautiful dogs. Please give my contact information to potential customers.

Hi Branko!

We are in love with Teo!  He is beautiful and has a wonderful temperament.  We get compliments everywhere we go with him - about his behavior and his looks.  He really is a gorgeous dog and a perfect specimen of his breed.  My vet absolutely loves him and is thoroughly impressed with his physique, coat, and overall health.  My vet says she's not used to seeing such an impressive looking boxer.  We are so very happy to have Teo and he has become an irreplaceable part of our family.  We've had him for just a little over 2 weeks now, so we haven't really worked on training with him yet, but you can tell that he has been well socialized and he is a perfect gentleman on the leash - my eight year old daughter can walk him on the leash!  He is totally housetrained and follows me from room to room without being told.  Did I mention he loves to play fetch?  I was very surprised to see him fetch the ball and bring it back - off leash.  Branko, I really could just go on and on about all the reasons we love Teo!  Feel free to give out my cell phone number/email to anyone who is looking for a reference or anything else you may need.  I know how nerve racking it is to trust someone you've never met before to actually give you what was promised - you definitely did that for us Branko!  Teo's temperament and looks are everything you promised.  I will send more pictures as soon as possible.

Thank you so much Branko!

Branko, I wanted to send you some pictures of myself with Lina and my daughters with Lina. She is a very well mannered girl. She has a wonderful temperment and is very eager to please. We are establishing a bond quickly and there is no doubt in my mind that she will protect me and my girls if the need ever arises. She is a very beautiful girl:)

She has been with us for almost 2 weeks now. She is much more relaxed and starting to learn my routine. She never allows me to wander out of her site. I even try to sneak away when she is sleeping but she is too aware for me to sneak off :) I have her on an all natural diet. She loves the food and is putting on some weight as a result. She is everything you said she would be. It seems like she has been with us since she was a pup. She fits right into our family :)

Thank you for your honesty. Thank you for returning every email and phone call promptly. It is obvious that you take pride in your work and are wonderful at what you do. Your caring shows in the wonderful dogs you produce and train. I will be in touch with you when we are ready for another:) I will keep in touch and send more pictures soon.

Branko, you are truly a man of your word. Thank you and God bless you and your family.

Branko, I wanted to write you this letter to express our appreciation for Zeus. He is a very intimidating looking dog and his presence makes me feel so much safer when my kids are outside playing.
This picture is Zeus showing off for the camera. In just two weeks, he has become part of the family. He knows his place and is probably a little spoiled right now.

My youngest daughter, Amanda, is years old and loves to play tag with Zeus in the back yard.
Zeus' temperament is much better than I expected. Even when I rough house and play with him he does not show any signs of aggression what so ever. He's a pup and loves to run and jump but when he gets a little to over zealous it just takes one "phoohey" and he immediately stops whatever he is doing. My Kids can do anything they want to him and he just plays along. That is a blessing. This dog is a gem.

My other daughter, Alisa is 9. We own and she rides horses and the first time Zeus was introduced to them he was stimulated and excited but under control. After about an hour both horse and dog were part of the same pack.

I could not be happier. This picture was taken right after Amanda had a bad experience at the dentist office. When she got home Zeus licked her until her numb mouth was smiling again.

Zeus doesn't even attempt to get on furniture - he did claim a blanket and does cry when I take it from the floor to wash it. He loves playing with balls and we are about even in our tug of war matches. When I picked him up from the airport he was a little sick with an ear infection - I brought him to the vet and with a few ear drops he is in perfect health.

He is part of the family now - his off leash is coming along- He is a pleare to walk on lead - all my friends are jealous because when they walk there dog the get pulled all around - Zeus and I are joined at the hip

We got our baby for two weeks already and would like to notice: you did not lied and everything you said about this dog is true. He is very intelligent, kind and who knew - also a big suck-up: he kisses us after we return home and he miss us so much that does not wish to eat when we are away .  He follows us every where we are going.  He also very curios - he likes everything  especially other animals and  squirrels the most ( silly things do not know he wants to play and that's all!)  He's very hilarious then he's playing in the backyard and galloping as a little horsey - that's why he got his nick name " little elephant".  We can talk and talk about him but  and in couple months will give you more updates but for now would like to thank you for the such beautiful and good behaving dog as ours.
We will fill very confident to refer another people to you.

Hi Branko

I love my dogs!

Question: I have noticed a lot of things about Luks (the shepherd) that do not seem normal to other Shepherd dogs.(I have grown up with Shepherds my whole life) He is much better! He seems to me to be very much like the Gray Wolf, very much like them. His face, ears, personality. In fact, if I were to guess I would say he is a large percentage Wolf, what do you say? Just so you know, I am ok with whatever he is, I am in love with this dog!! He is with me 99% of the time. He sleeps beside me and is NEVER more than a foot or two away from me. Everywhere I go he is beside me. He trusts me, but not so much anyone else in the house. Just now Tony can do things with him, as long as I am around. He searches for me if I leave his sight!
His behavior is more of a Wolf than a dog, more committed than any dog could be! Just thought I would ask. I want to understand him, he is the best animal I have ever had!

Risto, he is a beautiful dog, so handsome I can not believe it!

Brooks

Thank you so much for such a great dog, Branko! He is not only the most beautiful boxer we have ever seen, but he is so affectionate and well behaved, you would never guess that he is a personal protection dog. He has bonded to our family well and loves to go everywhere with us. I feel so much safer with Bagzi around. He sleeps at the end of our bed at night and I know I never have to worry.

PERSONAL PROTECTION DOG

Hi Branko,

This is the Couret family and on behalf of all of us we would like to thank you for our wonderful dog, Legend. Legend is an extremely well trained, well tempered and mannered dog. Since the first day we received him, he has done nothing but bring us joy. There is no doubt that Legend is well trained and he will protect us with his life.

A quick story to share. On the third day of Legend living with us, we all sat around to watch television. We put in a random DVD and it so happened to be about war. Legend was fascinated by the television and never once did his eyes leave it. There came a scene where a man drew a gun and aimed it at another person. Legend quickly stood up from his sitting position and began to bark at the television. When the man shot the other man, Legend, without warning, attacked the television. We all stared in shock and amazement but on a quick command, he stopped and calmed down. This proved to us that he is very aware of his surroundings and always attentive. This is no doubt due to his superior training.

<<...>>
Legend is everything and so much more then what we expected. Truly a dog that can live up to his name.

Sincerely,

The Couret Family, Chicago.

PERSONAL PROTECTION DOG
My family and I really love Roxy. She is unlike any other dog I have owned. She is such a beautiful specimen. I'm really pleased with such a high quality of a dog she is. You are a man of your word, unlike many of those other breeders out there. From seeing first hand not only with Roxy, but with my friends German Shepherd he had ordered from you as well, that your dogs are perfect and more than what anyone could ask for or ever want in a dog. My friend and I both told you what we had wanted in a dog and you fullfilled our requests and even more. Thank you again for being so understanding and patient. I wish you nothing but the best.

Sincerely, Mike USA

Bob & I attended. A service we will always remember........
We all felt the loss of Pietie even if we didn't know him.

Service:Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003
Time:11:00 AM
Place:  the Riverfront Art Center,
Wilmington, DE
The public is also invited.

February 19, 2003, Wilmington Police K-9 Department lost K-9 Pietie, a Belgian Malinois. Pietie was undergoing a cat-scan for obstruction in his nose. During a search in a contaminated creek and wooded area, Pietie was in the process of apprehending a second suspect involved in a robbery when a foreign object was apparently lodged in his nose. He had an allergic reaction to the dye used in the cat-scan and went into cardiac arrest. They were unable to revive him. Officer Donald Witte, handler of five years was by his side.  During Pietie's five years of service he received four outstanding service citations, and one life saving citation.  He was responsible for over 75 drug trafficking arrests, and numerous felony arrests involving guns and stolen cars.  Pietie and his partner Donnie were members of SWAT. Pietie was also North American police work dog certified and Eastern Police K-9 certified. He was well known and adored by everyone.

Dennis O'Connor started the Wilmington K9 unit in 1996
with Asko.  He became a K9 trainer shortly after. Pietie was one of his first certified Police K-9s. Currently, there are eight K9 handlers in the city. They are a tight group and are all taking the loss of Pietie quite hard. One day while they were training on the third floor of the Police station, Donnie and Dennis turned around and realized Pietie was gone. As
it turned out, Pietie got tired of training and decided to leave.  He got in the elevator, pushed the button and headed down. The elevator stopped on the second floor, Pietie waited like a gentleman as another officer entered. They rode down together and got out at the parking lot. The officer headed to his patrol car as Pietie headed to his. He was tired of training and ready to get some real work done.

Police dog, Pietie, was cited for outstanding performance during his five years with the Wilmington Police Department.
He died Wednesday, February 19, from an allergic reaction to anesthesia. Wilmington police spokesman, Lt. John Snyder said a foreign substance lodged in K-9 Pietie's nose while he was tracking a suspect last month with his partner, Officer Donnie Witte. The unknown substance caused an infection. Pietie was taken to "Veterinarian Imaging" in Ambler, PA to undergo an MRI. While being prepped for the procedure, Pietie had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia and died. Among his many awards, he was honored with a
DistinguishedService Ribbon
for assisting an officer who witnessed a gun fight at 24th
& Tatnall Sts. on August 8, 2001. Snyder said Pietie would especially be missed by city children whom he frequently visited at the schools.

Police from 4 states pay last respects to Wilmington K-9
By TERRI SANGINITI - Staff reporter
02/27/2003A procession of 32 police dogs and their handlers filed into the Riverfront Arts Center on Wednesday for a ceremony honoring Wilmington K-9 Piete, who died last week from injuries received in the line of duty. In December, Officer Donald Witte and the 6-year-old Belgian Malinois were tracking two armed robbers into a heavily wooded area. A piece of wood became imbedded in the dog's nose, causing an infection, K-9 commander Lt. Carolyn Henry said. After being injected with dye at Veterinarian Imaging in Ambler, Pa., while undergoing an MRI to locate the foreign object, the dog went into cardiac arrest and died Feb. 19. Wilmington police officials said Piete's death is the first line-of-duty dog death since the unit was formed in 1997. Piete was one of the unit's first trained police canines and had served for five years, spokesman Cpl. Stephen Martelli said. Piete's memorial ceremony was replete with a police honor guard; bag pipes; chaplain's prayers; taps; and tears and accolades from fellow officers. The 11 a.m. ceremony attracted police and city officials, retired police officers and K-9 law-enforcement representatives from 18 agencies throughout Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including nine dogs from New Castle County Police Department's unit. There were fond recollections of the way Piete used to run sideways when chasing someone, or how he used to bark louder than his handler spoke over police radio. Witte, who got Piete in 1997 when the dog was 16 months old and trained him, sat at the side of the stage with his family. "I know dogs become a part of the family and actually adopt us," Wilmington Mayor James M. Baker said. "For the citizens of Wilmington, this is a tragedy for all of us." Baker bestowed the city's highest award, the Wilmington Award, on the dog. Applause after each speaker triggered barks and yelps from the nearly three dozen K-9 dogs lined up at attention around the room for the hour-long service. Public Safety Director James Mosley presented Witte with a City Council proclamation citing Piete's five years of achievement as a vital part of the city's K-9 crimefighting team. Wilmington police Chief Michael Szczerba ended the service by retiring Piete's K-9 number 3 from the police roster over police radio. "Memorials can be found in many places and at many times, but principally in our hearts," Szczerba said. Master Cpl. Dennis O'Connor, K-9 unit trainer, said afterward that Witte and his family want to get another dog. "In the meantime, I want to get the best dog out there for Donnie," O'Connor said. "Donnie as a police officer is probably one of the best out there."

K-9 Jeff will be new partner for Donnie

THERE IS NO SUCH FIDELITY WHICH IS NOT BROKEN AT LEAST ONCE EXCEPT THE REAL FIDELITY
OF A DOG - Konrad Lorenz

It has taken me 8 months to get back to you on how very much we love TOR.
I picked Tor up at Ohare airport in Chicago.
I opened the crate and wrapped a leash around his neck. It was LOVE at first sight for both of us..
TOR is the best of the best in his breed. He is magnificent. Such a handsome well defined male.
His personality is serious when on alert and a big fun teaser when we play.
He sleeps by my bed at night and wakes several times during the night to check on me.
When he goes off leash he walks 12 - 30 feet and looks to see where I am and that I am OK.
He cries like a long lost lover when I am out of his sight.
He works very well on leash.
I have been working with him this spring 2007 , He is very intelligent.
You may remember I purchased Tor because I had a window peeker and am alone 5 days a week. I put the word out in our community that I was getting a personal protection dog from Serbia. I think the window peeker heard, as he has not been back.
Tor brings such peace of mind to me as well as my husband who is away 5 days a week.

It is kind of funny, My husband comes home and Tor lets Jim know right away he is here to watch every move Jim makes. We have been working on our house the last year and Tor thinks my husband is a contractor that comes to work two days a week and leaves.
Tor proudly rides in the front seat of my truck.
So many comment what a handsome Boxer he is.
He is as gentle as a big dog can be around our little Maltese and Yorkie dogs. He lets them climb ALL OVER him. And if one of them squeals he runs to make sure they are OK. He is such a BIG DADDY.
He does let out a low growl to let them know his "Big Blue Squeaky Frisbee" is off limits to them.
He hides it and I tell him to "GET FRISBEE" and off he runs remembering where he left it last.
Will send photos soon,
Big hugs and many thanks to you, yours and the staff at Mrazovac K-9
